Space to ‘showcase’ your WI – half a trestle table (3’ x 2’)
RULES •One entry per person, per class •Exhibits to be staged by 9.30am and to remain until 4pm •Judges are allowed access to the marquee at 9.45am •The committee cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to any exhibit during the show •The Judges’ decision is final •No late entries accepted •Marks will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed items only •If entry is ‘not according to schedule’, it will be disqualified
Notes
The schedule is very much reduced for 2022, to allow for a smaller marquee space and the possibility that some WI’s may not have sufficient members to enter a large number of classes.
As we understand, the marquee will need to be arranged in order that exhibits can be viewed from a safe, and controlled, distance. Judges and Stewards will be allowed closer, to enable judging and exhibit safety. We will be sharing the marquee with the Yorkshire Country Womens’ Association and will think the marquee will back onto the wooded area.
There will be NO Co-Operative entry for 2022. Instead, we have decided to offer the space for WI’s to ‘Showcase’ their activities. This will enable you to display a wide range of exhibits, which you feel show the public what your WI is about. Items can be whatever you wish as long as they fit into the space allowed. This entry will NOT be judged, and we see it as a chance for WI’s to advertise themselves. You may wish to have joining details/programmes available, or a member to give information.
There will be paper plates available for the display of the baked items and this section will be covered with cellophane after the judging.
The Decorated Hat does not have to be a specially made hat – we envisage any hat decorated as you wish.
